Skedaddle Pula (Day 7) sardinia, italy

Today was our final ride of our Skedaddle cycling adventure in Sardinia! For those interested, Skedaddle is a cycling tour company based in the UK that have an extensive catalog of cycling holidays throughout Europe and the UK. We opted for the self-guided option as the guided (which doesn’t cost much more) didn’t suit our travel dates. Skedaddle provide comprehensive trip notes and maps via a mobile app as well as pre book all accommodation with breakfast and half the evening meals. Luggage is also transferred between accommodation. Bikes are hired on top with options for e- bikes subject to trip suitability and availability. Overall, everything went well and navigation was easy using the app (although I did download the GPX files to my bike computer for more convenience on the bike). They also provided panniers for carrying items needed for the day (like rain and swimming gear!). The biggest gripe from our group was the weight of the bikes which made it harder going (non e-bikes) compared to our personal bikes back home (but some of us are spoilt with very light weight bikes!)

we were blessed today with lots of sunshine and stunning coastal views. These were the highlights and it’s now sad to think we have now come to the end of this part of our holiday.

Tomorrow whilst still officially a Skedaddle day, is simply breakfast and a late morning transfer back to Cagliari. Then the following day we depart for Milan and then onto Lake Como for a few days relaxation.

So no blog for tomorrow, as I need to give Jenny my undivided attention for her Birthday…
