I came up with this concept as an abstract way of showing death. Starting with a fully normal hand and with a series of hands having it 'fade' ending in a full skeleton hand. I also paid a lot of attention to undertones with this project having cooler colors on the skeleton side and warmer colors on the normal side.
This sketchbook assignment was called primary colors. When brainstorming I got inspiration from thermal cameras on human faces, I played with this idea incorporating the primary colors. Having fun with stylistic choices such as keeping the eyes white and having fun adding piercings.
The five object study was a project in that you were tasked with drawing a chosen object from at least five different angles using different types of shading for each. For my project, I used a small frog figurine. I found posing my frog and trying different angles fun. I also had fun shading using cross-hatching, stippling, just doing an outline, and my usual way of shading to make the fogs different from each other. I, also, had fun adding some boxes to fill and help with spacing.
