This school year, the PLD Library circulated 7,181 items to students and staff. The top 5 titles were We are Not From Here by Jenny Torres Sanchez (realistic), The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas (urban), Roxy by Neal Shusterman (fantasy), The Absolutley True Diary of a Part-Time Indian by Sherman Alexie (realistic), and Dear Martin by Nic Stone (urban).
During the school year, the PLD Library acquired and processed 906 new books.
The PLD Library hosted 626 separate classes for various activities this school year.
Kim Overstreet has managed 2,397 Chromebooks for PLD students and staff, and Jim Adams and STLP students have repaired hundreds of Chromebook issues, with an average turn-around time of an hour. Around 90% of PLD Chromebook repairs happen in-house.
There is always something new or different going on in the PLD Library, and it may not be quite like a traditional quiet library, but it is student-centered and we like it that way. Mrs. Overstreet and Ms. Perry are thankful that we get to join in on the fun while supporting our school, students, and staff. Here are some highlights in pictures.
