This multi year program prepares students for the technology infused work-force. Many career pathways recognize the importance of understanding basic programing and the skills programming develops. Learn the parts of a computer and progressively complex programs and web development.

Computer Science investigates not only how to create programs but algorithm theories and the best way to program. Most Alberta post-secondary programs now accept Computer Science 30 as an entrance requirement, and this program of study does NOT have a diploma exam.

Progression of learning introduces students to the nuts and bolts of HTML (HyperText Markup Language), the programming language used to create web pages. This course explains what HTML is, how it's structured, and presents the major tags and features of the language. Discover how to format text and lists, add images and flow text around them, link to other pages and sites, and create HTML forms.
