Real Estate Finance & Investments Case Studies by: Johnathan Lee

I represented CUHK to participate in the 13th Cornell International Real Estate Case Competition (CIRECC) and won the first runner-up. During an intensive five-day analysis preparation, we analyze actual commercial real estate transactions, render a recommendation, and provide a presentation of our analysis and proposal to real estate executives representing top companies in the industry. My responsibilities in the team are mainly building the DCF financial models from scratch and conducting financial analysis on the deals.

The Subject is a life science office development project, situated in a promising life science market. We suggest the developer build a gene tech center to capture the rising demand and seek a JV partnership to leverage partners' local expertise and brokerage relationships.
