School Social Work—available to KY residents only
MSSW Graduates who want to practice social work in a school setting can complete the requirements to meet the criteria for the school social work certification in Kentucky. Students who select this specialization learn how to help children and families overcome barriers to learning through home intervention. Those who complete the required courses meet the Kentucky Council on Teacher Education's requirements for certification as a school social worker. This information session will talk about the courses required and the next steps to obtaining certification in Kentucky.
