The Growing Threat of Cyber Crime

  • Hackers have exposed the personal information of more than 110 million Americans--roughly half the nation's adults (Source: CNN Money, May 2014)
  • The average time to resolve a cyber attack in the U.S. is 46 days, at a cost of nearly $2 million (Source: "2015 Cost of Cyber Crime Study: United States," Ponemon Institute, October 2015)
In a survey of 845 IT & IT security practitioners in federal, state and local governments, respondents cited "a lack of skilled personnel and frustration with organizational politics" as a deterrent to achieving strong cybersecurity posture.
