AROUND EAST THIS WEEK!!

It was a great week around MSE! We had Mrs. Dinser's ELA Enrichment class working as a group with an anticipatory discussion to kick off a novel study, we hosted our first Student of the Month Breakfast to honor our October Students of the Month, as Mrs. Winter's artists were hard at work!

Eagle of the Week

New to MSE this year is the "Eagle of the Week" Award. Each week, teachers will nominate and we will select about one student from each grade level that goes above and beyond each and every day in the classroom and in our school. These students will be honored with a nomination by a teacher, they'll get to take a picture with our "Eagle Trophy" and they sign their name on the trophy where it will stay for years to come! Next time you're at MSE, stop by the showcase in the main lobby to see the trophy and the students who have won it so far! This weeks' Eagles of the Week are: Brooklyn M., Christiona A., London B., and Dominic P.

Positive Referrals and Behaviors

Congrats to Raylan J and Serenity L for being selected as the MSE positive acts of the week. Keep up the great job students, we are so proud of you! #BeTheChange #ItsAEastThing

This week we also honored our October Literacy Leaders of the Month! Congrats to all!

Positive You Week #7 Focus

In this week’s video, Kenny Spear continues the November theme of Awareness by focusing on our individual “creativity” and how each student can connect it to his/her super powers. The goal is to encourage students to not only be “aware” of their super powers, but to “create” and put them in action.

At East, we want every student to be involved and feel a sense of belonging to the school community. Whether it's with sports, or after school clubs, every student should be involved in some way! Below are some announcements from various clubs.
