ELECTRIC JAGUAR BABY Maximum fuzz duo - From Paris

Ripple Music is stoked to bring the incredible fuzz worshipping French duo, Electric Jaguar Baby, into the family via our garage/psych-rock imprint - Rebel Waves Records. After 3 EPs and a 2019 debut full-length album, the band's 2020 tour got cut short when the world was put on-hold. Locked down with all that built up momentum, the band had no choice but to write new material until live music once again became a part of reality. This new material gave way to a rock-hard 12 track album, spiced up with fuzz, raw drums and high energy that has been referred to as "a gangbang with Ty Segall, Josh Homme, Jack White and Ozzy Osbourne, sprinkled with retro and occult 70's vibes." Just as with their 2019 effort, their sophomore album features guests they've met through touring - Luca of Go !Zilla on vocals and organ & Jed of ZigZags with a crazy guitar solo. The new album, "Psychic Death Safari," will be released on Vinyl/CD/Digital formats through Rebel Wave Records.

The first single from the upcoming album - "Hitmaker" - is also the opening track of the album, and as the band explains, "it's a garage-rock anthem loaded with fuzz and catchy choruses. It's kind of an ego-trip song about the Jaguars back on track and the ability of indie bands to keep on playing good music, and scene to embrace it."

STORY

ELECTRIC JAGUAR BABY was born in Paris in 2015 : a drummer and a guitarist, both of them singers, stride across Josh Homme's desert, flirt with the Black Keys' choruses and explore Jack White's saturated riffs. The duet generates #fuzz sounds with #psychedelic atmospheres, hovering between #rock'n'roll and #stoner.

They grabed their old microphones and a 8-tracks-recorder in their cellar in Paris to capture their live energy with a 70's vibe to put out : a 1st EP in november 2016 and "Monnshiner" EP in march 2017 and a 3rd in march 2018 which were warmly welcomed by French and foreign critics.

The band left their garage and trampled stages with their boots for 3 European tours with bands like Go!Zilla, Black Rainbows, You said strange, Le Bucherettes, ZIgZags or Death Valley Girls, & L.A Witch.

In june 2018 they put all 3 EPs together : "The EP compilation" ! 12 tracks with a whole Lotta fuzz, as always on handmade limited CDs and cassette tapes + VINYL LP on their own label : El Diablo Records ! All of this 100% DIY.

Although being 100% DIY, in 2019 the band is endorsed by : Ahead Drumsticks, Eastwood Guitars, Death By Audio Effects pedals, Barefoot Buttons, Retroviseur Eyewear.

After a 2020 Euro Tour cut by "you-know-who", EJB worked on new songs and got back on tour in 2021 and 2022. Those 12 songs were recorded in between and the band proudly joined the Ripple Music Family and will put a new LP in 2022 thru Rebel Waves Records (garage/psych rogue label of Ripple Music) !
