Hades character traits are greed, hatred, and sly.
Hades was very greedy in the sense that just because he was lonely by himself, he kidnapped a wife for himself. This is stated in his mythology, " Zeus betrothed his daughter to Haides without the prior consent of her mother Demeter. The god seized the girl as she was playing in a flowery meadow and carried her off to his Underworld realm. Demeter later compelled Zeus to return her for part of the year with the threat of earthly famine" (Hades & the rape of Persephone).
Hades was always furious at his brother Zeus for leaving him with the underworld while his brothers got beautiful realms. " So Haides and the overseers of the Isles of the Blest came before Zeus with the report that they found men passing over to either abode undeserving. Then spake Zeus: 'Nay,' said he, ' I will put a stop to these proceedings ( Hades and the appointment of the Judges of The Dead). This story goes on to tell of Hades and Zeus fighting over how to fix it, while Hades wanted to kill them for passing into the land of the dead, Zeus was more peaceful and wanted them returned. Hades didn't like that idea and went on a rampage and killed all who came into his realm wrongfully.
Hades was very sly and good at backstabbing the people who did him wrong." Before he died, however, (Thanatos), Sisyphus directed his wife Merope to omit his funeral rites, so that Haides, being deprived of his customary offerings, was persuaded by the cunning trickster to let him go back to life in order to complain of his wife'e neglect (Hades favor & wrath: Sisyphus). Hades saw through the trick though and he double crossed Sisyphus for killing his servant, Thanatos, and took Sisyphus down into the underworld with him.
Hades overall isn't the bad guy. He just wants to be accepted like all of us.
