I've been photographing butterflies for many years as part of my interest in wildlife. And while I prefer to photograph creatures in the wild, that's not always the case. Most of my butterfly photos were taken at the Butterflies Alive Exhibit at the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History in California. The Exhibit is open every summer and is very popular with adults and children..
I like to identify and record the species whose images I have taken. For this portfolio, I have included only one image of each butterfly species in my photo library.
