Sustainable Futures Seminar Series 14th April 2022

On the 14th of April, the 5th event of the Sustainable Seminar Series featuring representatives from The Energy Innovation Agency took place online.

The Energy Innovation Agency (EIA) established between three Greater Manchester universities, local government and industry has been created to kick-start a decade of clean energy innovation to meet the region’s 2038 carbon neutral target. In this event, their representatives came together to discuss the progress so far on clean energy innovation, ways to get involved in this ambitious environmental innovation and action and much more.

Professor Carly McLachlan, Director of Tyndall Manchester, was the chair of the event. She opened the event; welcomed all our attendees and introduced our guest speakers.

David Schiele, Director at The Energy Innovation Agency, was the first to present. He presented the vision, aims, objectives, and strategic fit into the Greater Manchester.

Next to present was Dan Dickinson, Business Development Lead at The Energy Innovation Agency. He summarized the innovations, the Launch and Challenge Event.

To end the event, there was a Q&A session for the audience to get immediate answers from our guest speakers.

Professor Carly McLachlan thanked all the attendees and guest speakers and closed the event.
