Wilson ITA Coach of the Year
Brian Kalbas from the University of North Carolina has been named the 2023 Wilson ITA Head Coach of the Year.
Coach Kalbas was behind one of the most monumental seasons in North Carolina women's tennis history this season, successfully leading his team to the programs first NCAA National Team Championship.
Going undefeated in regular season play (27-0), the Tar Heels were crowned ITA National Indoors Champions for the fourth year in a row ('20-'23) and were crowned ACC regular season champions. North Carolina had eight wins in the top-10, 15 wins in top-25, and 22 wins in top-60.
Under Kalbis, Fiona Crawley won the ITA All-American Championship and the ITA Fall National Championships. The duo of Crawley and Tanguilig won the NCAA Doubles Championship in what was an All-Tar Heel final.
Over the season, four different singles players ranked within the Top-10, and three different doubles teams ranked in the top-15 of the ITA Doubles Rankings.
