Headteacher's update (02.11.20)
As you may be aware, on Friday 30th October, the Scottish Government released an update to their advice and guidance entitled ‘COVID-19: Reducing the Risks in Schools’ which takes account of public health advice and Scotland’s new approach to suppressing coronavirus (COVID-19).
Please see below a link to this publicly-available document:
https://www.gov.scot/publications/coronavirus-covid-19-guidance-on-reducing-the-risks-in-schools/
This updated guidance reflects the levels approach within 'Scotland's Strategic Framework' which, at the time of writing, has positioned Perth & Kinross Council at Protection Level 2.
It is within this context that I write to inform you of what this means for us at Crieff High School.
As a reminder, the current measures below will remain in place and will be reviewed and amended on an on-going basis.
.
Face coverings
As a result of the updated guidance, face coverings should be worn at all times when travelling around the school (adults and young people).
Face coverings should be worn by adults wherever they cannot keep 2 metres distance with other adults and/or young people.
It remains the case that face coverings should not generally be required in classrooms or other learning and teaching environments.
It also remains the case that if a young person or adult chooses to wear a face covering in the classroom they will be supported to do so.
As always, please be in touch if you have anything you would like to discuss.
You can email us at CrieffHigh@pkc.gov.uk or phone us on 01764 657700.
