Thank you for joining our recent event!

We would like to thank you for joining us at our recent LinkedIn Learning for Students event! As promised, here's a round up of the event which includes a reminder on how to log in, as well as a list of useful links, recommended learning and frequently asked questions.

We hope that you all enjoyed the session and if you have any feedback on what you think of LinkedIn Learning so far, please get in touch!

If you were not able to make it to a live session, sorry we missed you! Please read this document as it gives you all the information needed to get you up and running with LinkedIn Learning.

How do I access LinkedIn Learning?

First of all, we would recommend using the following link so that you can log in with your University account details. Once you have set up your account, you can go ahead and link it to your personal LinkedIn profile if you want to.

To find out what we will see when you create a LinkedIn Learning account, please visit the LinkedIn website.

The benefits of linking your account to your LinkedIn profile are:

  • Share your learning achievements, certificates and skills with your network on your LinkedIn profile.
  • Receive customised recommendations based on what your connections and similar professionals are viewing, as well as recommendations based on your LinkedIn profile.
  • Join learning groups: Deepen your learning by engaging other like-minded learners who have similar career aspirations.
  • Ask questions and get answers: Use Q&A to continue the conversation beyond the course with peers and instructors.

Frequently asked questions

Can I still access LinkedIn Learning after I've graduated?

No. This offer is only available to current staff and students.

I still can't log in. What do I do?

We would recommend that you first sign in using our unique link. This link will ask you for your student e-mail address and password. This is the same information you use to log in to any University account. If you're still having issues, please log a call with the IT Service Desk.

When I log in, it's asking me to link my LinkedIn profile. Do I have to?

No. Once you have set up your LinkedIn Learning account, you will be asked if you want to connect your LinkedIn profile. You don't have to do this, but there are some benefits to linking your LinkedIn profile to your LinkedIn Learning account.

I'm worried about what information, or what courses the University or my connections will see?

Visit the LinkedIn website to find out what information is shared with the University or your connections from your LinkedIn Learning account, as well as your LinkedIn profile if you've linked them both.
