Deputy Headteacher

We're delighted to say that we have now appointed Joe Williams as our new deputy headteacher. Joe is currently vice principal at Zouch Academy in Tidworth and will join us from September. Huge thanks to the governors for the time and work they have put into this appointment.

Tag Rugby Festival

Well done to all the children who took part in today’s very wet and windy Tag Rugby Festival. In Pool A, the red team only lost one match to Kings Lodge School

(eventual overall winners)after a closely contested match. The green team in Pool B also played well – scoring a number of tries. All the children played with great sportsmanship and respect. Many thanks to everyone who helped with transport and to Chippenham Rugby Club and Up and Under Sports for hosting and organising.

The school library is now up and running and the children are enjoying borrowing books. When your child has finished reading their book, please can you help them to remember to return it to school, ready for the next borrower. Many thanks.

Parking

Please can we remind parents to be respectful of our neighbours when collecting children from school. Please do not park across driveways or in front of garages as this can cause issues with residents accessing their homes. Pease can we also ask that you adhere to the highway code by not parking on bends, double yellow lines, double parking etc.

FOMPS

Thank you to everyone who donated the delicious cakes and books to last week's sale and to everyone who attended. We are delighted to say we made £169.59.

I would also like to say a huge thank you to the small group of parents who volunteered their time to make it possible.

We are always looking for more parents/grandparents/carers to help us plan and run activities. Please do get in touch if you have any time, it could be just 30 minutes at one of our sales, joining a sub committee planning the Scarecrow Trail and Monkfest or anything in between!

We welcome everyone and all ideas.

We have our next FOMPS meeting next week - location and date will be confirmed on Monday. Please do attend if you can.

We are now getting underway with our Scarecrow Trail planning. We are very excited for this event, more details on the poster below.

Thanks

The FOMPS Team.
