  • 7:40 am Cafeteria opens for Breakfast (Please do not send students to school prior to 7:40 am)
  • 7:45 am Supervision on Campus Starts (If student is not eating breakfast, this is when drop off begins
  • 8:00 am Classroom Doors Open
  • 8:05 am Official Start Time, Learning for the Day Officially Begins

*If you arrive after 8:05am, please come to the front office entry to sign in your student and to choose school lunch (if wanted).

Change in Dismissal Plans

Please call the front office by 1:00 PM if there is a change during the school day and you need to communicate it to your child. Our teachers aren't always able to check email or voicemail during the day and so communicating it to the office assures that your child gets the message. We ask that you do this before 1:00pm as the end of the day gets busy in the office.

Classroom Treats

If it is necessary to have food in classrooms during school hours (i.e. birthday snack, holidays, special occasions, school events, etc.), only commercially prepared foods and packaged foods from retail stores should be served. Items must be commercially individually wrapped. As always, please contact your child's teacher prior to sending food or treats in.

Volunteering at Riffenburgh

If you plan on Volunteering at Riffenburgh, you must register or check that your status is current with Poudre School District (PSD) thru the following portal (renewals are every 3 years) before you come to school.

** Please remember to bring a Government Issued Identification (Driver’s License) (DIGITAL IDs are not accepted) to school when you check in in as a Visitor or Volunteer. This is a requirement for the Check In process. **

News from Health Office

Please send an extra set of clothes in your students' backpacks since it's muddy outside, and the health room doesn't have enough clothes to accommodate all the needs now.

FOR CURRENT 5TH GRADE FAMILIES

No Cough Drops in School: Students are not to carry cough drops in their back packs for use during the school day. If cough drops are required, there is a Medication Authorization form from the Health Room that must be completed for any medication to be given at school (prescription or over the counter). This form needs to be filled out and signed by the Health Care Provider and then signed by the Parent and returned to the health room with the cough drops in their original package. Once this process is complete, the student can come to the Health Room and the Health Room Tech will give them a cough drop. Mints/candies are an alternative for dry throats that can be carried by the student so they can use as they need.

Lost & Found in Front Office

If your student has a missing pair of glasses please check out the collection below:

There will be a LOST & FOUND Table set up outside the Main Entrance of Riffenburgh for Parents/Guardians to look for missing items during our Celebration of Learning on May 17th!

News from Art

Dear Riffenburgh Families,

We are delighted to invite you to the Designs and Images Art Show, which is taking place inside the main building at the Foothills Mall from now until May 9th. This event will showcase a wide range of student art from across the school district, including students from our own Riffenburgh community, providing an exciting opportunity to celebrate the creativity and talent of our students.

The Designs and Images show will feature a diverse selection of artwork, including paintings, drawings, sculptures, and mixed media pieces. The show will highlight the creative endeavors, artistic habits, explorations, and skills that our students have developed in art class throughout the year, and you will have the opportunity to see firsthand the outstanding work that they have created.

We encourage you to come and experience the show with your family. This is a great opportunity for you to support the young artists at our school and see the artistic talent of other students in our district. If yout can make it or not, I encourage you to engage in conversations with your children about their own studio explorations and ask about ways they are working through creative problems, and expressing their ideas in our Riffenburgh studio.

We hope you are able to visit the mall to view the show. Thank you for your continued support of our art program and our students.

Sincerely,

Cole Zawadzki (Mr. Z)
