Anna Bea is a 21-year-old singer songwriter who regularly gigs between London and Bristol and has just released her debut EP ‘Wheel of Change’. Having only started releasing music during lockdown, the success of her first four songs have led to multiple interviews with radio stations such as BBC London, BBC Bristol, Glastonbury FM and BCFM Radio. Anna has amassed over 170,000 streams on Spotify and Apple Music and has been listened to 80 countries over the past month. She has also been featured in magazines such as Louder Than War, We Plug GOOD music, The Everyday Magazine, Neon Music and Lock Magazine. Falling into the genre of Folk Pop, Anna writes from experience and is currently working with top writers, producers and mixers such as Steve Overland, Jessica Sharman (Ward Thomas) and Brad Mair (Kygo) and cannot wait to release new music over the course of 2021.
'The final song ‘Roll the Dice’ on the EP compares relationships to a game of snakes and ladders. It's about who is going to make the next move, who has the upper hand and how tense and heated games in relationships can be. The EP is called ‘Wheel of Change’ and each song represents a different stage in a relationship; ‘Bleeding Heart’ is about a broken girl trying to break free from a toxic relationship, ‘People Keep Telling Me’ is when she is finally free and confidently single, ‘Cold’ is about letting go of love and realising sometimes it’s better to be on your own and ‘Roll the Dice’ is about that early stage of a new relationship when you’re not sure what’s going to happen next.' - Anna Bea

'I wrote this song on a freezing February evening wearing 4 jumpers and 2 coats in my student house in Bristol, England. One of my housemates had made the decision never to turn on the heating to save money and the environment. Although I agreed with him, on this particular evening I was unbelievably cold and miserable. As I watched my breath in clouds in front of me, I started writing this song!' - Anna Bea
