In Conversation with Professor Tom Shakespeare Wednesday 17 May 2023, University of Sussex

Tom Shakespeare is Professor of Disability Research at London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. Author of Disability Rights and Wrongs, among a dozen books and hundred papers, he contributed to the WHO World Report on Disability, and has worked at Universities of Sunderland, Leeds, Newcastle and UEA as well as LSHTM. He has been involved in the disability rights movement for more than 25 years, and is active as a writer and broadcaster.

During the 17 May event, Prof. Shakespeare joined a panel of Sussex staff to explore the current picture of disability inclusion in the context of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
