Character Word of the Month

Good Sportsmanship

Sportsmanship is when competitors or viewers of competitive events treat one another with respect and exhibit appropriate behavior. Good sportsmanship means being fair and ethical to those you're playing with, both your teammates and the opponents.

Good sportsmanship is shown by:

  • Treat the other team with respect.
  • Never tease or bully.
  • Follow the rules of the game.
  • Help another player up who has fallen.
  • Take pride in winning but don't rub it in.
  • Accept a loss without whining or making excuses.

Celebrate Success

Our students continue to knock out their individual learning goals! We are so proud of their relentless efforts to continue growing and learning.

Bulldog High Fives are a great way to recognize our students for meeting their SMART goals in reading and math! Keep up the great work, Bulldogs! 💙

Georgia Milestones

The Georgia Milestones Assessment is an online, criterion-referenced, summative assessment created by the Georgia Department of Education. Federal law, specifically the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), requires annual testing of all students in grades 3 through 5 in the content areas of mathematics, English language arts, and science (grade 5 only) in order to determine how well students have mastered the state adopted content standards, as well as provide students, parents, and teachers information about academic achievement and readiness for the next grade level.

Milestones Dates:

  • April 25th - ELA (Section 1)
  • April 26th - ELA (Section 2)
  • April 27th - ELA (Section 3)
  • May 2nd - Math (Section 1)
  • May 3rd - Math (Section 2)
  • May 4th - Science (5th grade only)

5 Test Taking Tips

You can help us make sure our students are ready to do their best with no stress by doing the following:

  1. Make sure your child gets a good night’s rest.
  2. Eat a nutritious breakfast either at home or at school.
  3. Get to school on time.
  4. Encourage them to do their best!
  5. Let them know that they are so much more than a test score and are valued and loved regardless.

Thank you for your continuous support!
