Other traditions such as getting and decorating the Christmas tree remain even through COVID-19.

The Gerharts love decorating Christmas trees so much, in fact we decorate a little one for upstairs as well.

Similar to the tree, house decorating was also in full swing this Christmas.

While my dad makes beautiful art, it also serves are great places for Christmas lights every year.

Santa always spends the holidays in the Gerhart house. Santa was homemade by my grandmother so it makes him a little extra special.

Christmas Eve brunch is another custom that COVID-19 could not ruin.

The stockings also remained hung on Christmas Eve awaiting kids that never grew out of Santa.

Most importantly the best tradition of spending time with family remained and was much needed.
