THE CAMP
Catch the moment and inhale the fresh arctic air, in totally peace and quiet with 360° stunning view of the spectacular nature surrounding you. The camp is a place to disconnect from modern life and the stress of everyday life and reconnect with yourself, nature, your family and friends.
All tents have wooden floors, wood burning stoves, private bathrooms and hot showers. Staff is available for any of your needs on site at all times, including your private chef. Relax your muscles in the only outdoor hot tub there is in Greenland.
DAY ONE
An adventure awaits in a destination so remote, yet so close. Board a plane for a 3 hour flight from Iceland to Nuuk in Greenland where a local guide will meet you at the airport in Nuuk and you will embark on an adventure unlike any other.
Board your boat for a scenic transfer to a luxury adventure camp set in a remote fjord, almost 100 km from the closest civilization.
DAY TWO
Activity Option #1 : Mind-blowing Hike
After breakfast it’s time to jump on board the boat for transfer to one of the greatest hiking terrain within the area of this huge fjord. Your guide has picked the hiking route according to group ability. Enjoy gourmet packed lunch and the mind-blowing view.
Activity Option #2: Inuit Way of Life
After breakfast it’s time to jump on board the boat for transfer to the Kapisillit area which is the only Greenlandic Salmon breeding spot. Learn the extra ordinary Inuits fishing techniques – Catching Arctic Char with your bare hands. Is a guaranteed memorable fishing experience. Enjoy gourmet packed lunch by the river, explore the settlement life, visit the locals and walk the length of Kapisillit settlement.
Just a few hours sail away from Nuuk centrum lies a small settlement called Kapisillit. There, 70 people live a life that is completely different from the capital city. They wouldn’t have it any other way. There’s an intimacy to a small settlement, where everyone can know each visitor by name. Spend time with the locals, pick some berries, or go for long hikes filled with brilliant vistas of the ice cap. You can even hike to the ice edge located about 10km away from the settlement
DAY THREE
Activity Option #1: Norse and Inuit History
Leisure morning before boat cruise lookout for whales. Lunch enjoyed in a small isolated restaurant in scenic Qooqqut bay with a beautiful view from the restaurant's panoramic location. We continue to the settlement of Kangeq for closer look and history learning.
Activity Option #2: Char Fishing
Greenland is the wildest place on earth for char fishing. There are thousands of rivers and lakes, full of Arctic Char. Because of the enormous territory and relatively few inhabitants, many of these fishing areas are hardly fished at all and some rivers have not seen an angler – ever. The fishing is on a voluntary catch and release basis, mostly light tackle fishing. The size of the fish is 1-7 lbs + and there is plenty of it. The local guides are excellent and know the area extremely well. This abundance of Arctic char – and the magnificent nature, truly makes this a fishing paradise!
DAY FOUR
Activity Option #1: The Power of Ice
Adventure boat cruise east deep into the Nuuk fjord. Experience the thrill of standing on an ice flake and swim in the Arctic sea dressed in an arctic survival suit. Sail by high peaks, waterfalls and small bays onwards to the most productive glacier in the region.
Activity Option #2: Close to Nature
Today we sail deep into the ice fjord to go kayaking among the ice. After getting back to shore will have a nice lunch. With stomach full of energy we once again get on board our boat and sail towards a stunning valley area. Hike in this beautiful nature with a high chance of seeing wild reindeers, arctic foxes and musk-ox.
