Holiday Showcase excites dancers for the holiday season All photos by julia Leitner '23

This past weekend, Dec. 18, the dancers at The Spot from Just Dance Studios partook in their annual Holiday Showcase at the Klein Memorial Auditorium in Bridgeport, CT
Dancers performed a variety of different dances, some of which were holiday themed and dances that will be performed during competition later in the year.
The dance being performed above, All I Want for Christmas, is a dance that the elite company members perform every single year. The seniors dress as Mr. and Mrs. Claus as tradition.
To add to the holiday festivities, dancers partook in a secret Santa tradition, exchanging gifts to their teammates. Pia Dotorri '23 received Ritz snacks, and a squishmellow stuffed animal as her gift.
Prior to their final performance of the day, the elite team has a tradition where everyone squeezes together in a circle prior to performances. Seniors give pep talks to their team and cheer each other on for good luck.
Tessa Tobias '24 spent her downtime throughout the day catching up on school work. "With such a long dance day, I have to manage my time wisely and make sure I leave time to finish my school work," Tobias said.
"I love having the holiday show right before the break," Aurelia Laitman '26 said. "It gets everyone so festive for the holidays and it's so fun getting to perform with my friends."
