The First Agricultural Revolution, AKA: Neolithic Revolution

This took place in 10,000 BC-2,000 BC (11,000 years ago). In this revolution people domesticated plants and animals. This changed the way humans lived because farming and the raising of livestock tied people to land for cultivation and grazing grounds, and this transition gave rise to permanent settlements.

The Second Agricultural Revolution

This revolution was taking place in the 1700's-1900's. This revolution changed farming and one of the big changes that happened was the creation of the plow, horse collar, and the seed drill. These inventions were made in western Europe and this also increased the efficiency of farming. This also created the crop rotation and the four-course system.

The Third Agricultural Revolution, AKA: Green Revolution

The third agricultural revolution took place in 2000's and is taking place today. This changed farming by having tech, mechanization, gas and diesel tractors, less farmers, increase yields, pollution, and reliance. Tech and mechanization helped speed up farming. Tractors make farming easier and faster. The biggest change is genetically modified organism (GMO).

GMO

GMO is a process of genetically modifying stuff. This started with modifying corn and feeding it to animals to get more meat faster and more meat means more money. Then they started to use it for other products this result in that most products have something that is genetically modified. This changed farming because this lets them use the modified corn to get more meat which leads to more money and since the government pays the farmers to plant modified crops now. Farmers started doing this and this got to the point where you can't plant good seeds but you can only plant modified seeds. This GMO process has a good and bad side. Some of the pros of this process are; more food faster, cheaper products, bigger serving sizes, last longer, and increases amount of money earned by farmers. Some of the cons on this process are; more allergies formed, higher risk of getting cancer, higher chance of food poisoning, more deaths, farmers that grow non GMO products are running out of money, and lower resistance to antibiotics. GMO is does good but gets bad outcomes.
