IACC 2022 Uprooting Corruption, Defending Democratic Values

IFES is proud to participate in this year's International Anti-Corruption Conference (IACC) in Washington, DC from December 6-10. this year's theme is "Uprooting Corruption, Defending Democratic Values." The conference is being hosted by Transparency International and in partnership with eh U.S. Department of State

In September 2021, IFES launched the Center for Anti-Corruption and Democratic Trust to improve the ability of democracies to deliver for all people through cross-sectoral anti-corruption initiatives that address the global democratic trust deficit. Over the last year, the Center has published critical work that addresses this year's International Anti-Corruption Conference's theme of"Uprooting Corruption, Defending Democratic Values" highlighting the roles of political campaign finance, technology and gaps in legal frameworks have in facilitating corruption. Among these resources are: "Vote for Free: Vote for Free: A Global Guide for Citizen Monitoring of Campaign Finance," the definitive guide to citizen monitoring of campaign finance, "Democracy and the Crisis of Trust" and "The Darkside of Democracy," both written by our experts and originally published by Foreign Policy and our latest resource "Election Case Law Analysis Series: Lessons on the Use of Technology in Elections," the third installment of our Election Case Law Series.
