Academic Success

Adrian College Lacrosse stresses the importance of success in the classroom, not just on the field. Through our system of Academic Meetings and close work with Academic Services, we have seen an increase in the Team GPA in each of Coach Wetzel's 6 semesters at Adrian College. In the Spring of 2021 the team received the USILA Academic Team Award for the first time in program history, including 18 Student-Athletes with above a 3.0 GPA and 5 Student-Athletes finishing with a 4.0.

Adrian College offers 50 Majors and 6 Pre-Professional Programs that can fit all of your academic interests. We are always looking for ways to give our students the opportunity to pursue their interests. Check out all of our majors at the link below.

Adrian College Athletics Expects to Win

A Program on the Rise

After finishing an abbreviated 2020 season with a mark of 4-1, the best start since 2015, The program returned in a COVID affected 2021 finishing with a 4-11 record and completing every game on our schedule. Chris French and Peyton Gasche continued their rise up the record book as they both moved into the top-10 of the Career Points list. Gasche did so while tieing his own school record for points in a single game with 11 and adding career marks for goals in a game with 9 and a new high for total points. Max Leventis continued his assault on the Face-Off record book setting both new marks in career Ground Balls and Career Face-Offs won for the program's history.

Offense

Averaging 14.6 Goals per Game, the best offensive output since 2011, the offense led the way. Chris French and Peyton Gasche were the top performers from the attack, averaging over 4 points per game. Travis Fox was the best man in the Midfield averaging just over 2 points per game. Max Leventis allowed the offense to play with momentum by winning 55% of his face-offs on the season. He definitely earned his recognition on the USILA National Team of the Week in March.

Defense

The defense looks to return to the level that held opponents to 9.2 Goals per Game in 2020 with a starting core returning from injury. Griffin Werth and David Herig will be the key contributors here leading the way with a few freshmen looking to play key roles early in their careers. Ethan Krupp will return to a form that saw him earn national recognition through the shortened 2020 season.
