in 2022, Drover-Mattinen stepped onto the collegiate scene and impressed going 25-2 from the No. 1 Singles position and 17-5 from the No. 1 doubles position.

Hitting the ground running in the fall, Drover-Mattinen went deep in multiple tournaments including winning the A flight at The Middlebury Invitational. A Letter From Head Coach Jon Satkowski

Dear Aiden,

Congratulations! I am thrilled that the ITA Committee has selected you as the National ITA Rookie of the Year.

When nominating you for the award, I had a great confidence in your playing record that you would stand out amongst the other nominees. Of course, your record is only a small portion of the reason behind nominating you for the award. Your unbelievable drive as a student (3.91 in computer science), achieving All-Academic, your unwavering commitment to being a leader, and always being a student of the sport have all made this year special.

I look forward to your growth as an all-around person and am excited to work with you on it every step of the way. Congratulations Drover-Drill!

Sincerely, Coach
