Content Info For The Week

Math (Swindell, Beasley, and Meeks):

- Monday we will review distance on a grid using Pythagorean Theorem. - Tuesday - MAP TESTING - Wednesday we will begin exploring 3D models with Pythagorean Theorem. -Thursday we will complete using Pythagorean Theorem with 3D models.. - Friday we will begin with finding volume of a cylinder.

Algebra I (Meeks):

- Monday we will begin exploring unit conversions using unit rates. - Tuesday - MAP TESTING - Wednesday we will finish up unit conversions using unit rate. -Thursday we will complete our unit study guide. - Friday we will go over our unit study guide and play review games. Our unit test will be Monday.

ELA (Styron and Bright):

This week scholars will demonstrate learned knowledge to this point in the school year with completion of the 2nd reading MAP test, describe the overall structure (cause and effect) of events, ideas, concepts, and information in a text, use active reading, viewing, and listening as they continue working through their individualized and differentiated app segments and continue reading their selected novels, demonstrate learned knowledge of key vocab terms, and lastly demonstrate learned knowledge of key concepts to this point of WS 8.

ELA (Lee):

This week in Mrs. Lee's class, students will finish their argumentative essays. We will revise our rough drafts and submit our final drafts on Thursday, December 1st. We will take the English/Language Arts MAP test on Monday, November 28th.

9th Grade Lit (Lee):

This week in Mrs. Lee's class, students will continue their analysis of To Kill a Mockingbird. Students will review chapters 1-5 on Tuesday, and take a quiz on chapters 1-5 on Wednesday, November 30th. We will take the English/Language Arts MAP test on Monday, November 28th.

Science (Carver and Lewis):

This week in Ms. Carver's class, we will begin the week with some test remediation and then move onto our next unit: Forces of Motion.

Social Studies (MacArthur and Lewis):

This week in Mr. MacArthur's class, students will look at the role of the executive Branch in Georgia. Students will learn what the qualifications are to become the Governor and Lt. Governor of Georgia, what their day to day responsibilities look like, and how the executive branch fulfils its job.
