Content Info For The Week

Math (Swindell, Beasley, and Meeks):

Scholars will review solving systems by graphing and solving systems algebraically. We will quiz over systems before moving into solving system of equations with word problems.

Algebra I (Meeks):

Scholars will continue with our factoring polynomial unit. Tuesday we will quiz over GCF, difference of squares, and factoring trinomials. Wednesday - Friday we will begin working with the quadratic equation.

ELA (Styron and Barker):

This week students will review the parts of plot, plot structure, finding theme and main idea, as well as working on making inferences from fictional and informational texts.

ELA (Lee):

This week in Mrs. Lee's class, students will continue reviewing key skills for GMAS, including elements of poetry and elements of a narrative.

9th Grade Lit (Lee):

This week in Mrs. Lee's class, students will continue their analysis of Romeo and Juliet, including Shakespeare's use of language and characterization to develop the overarching theme: Choices and Consequences.

Science (Carver and Lewis):

Student will begin our last unut which is Unit 6. Students will be exploring how the forces of nature work within the real world and the affects of them.

Social Studies (MacArthur and Lewis):

This week in Mr. MacArthur's class, students will learn about Georgia's involvement and response to events in the Civil Rights movement. Students will learn about influential figures such as Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and events like the Albany movement in the battle for Civil Rights.
