Futures for Somerset were appointed by Sedgemoor District Council to provide technical advice in relation to the development of a community hall facility from a developers section 106 contribution. The project consists of a community hall, changing facilities and offices with sports pitches adjacent. The site is adjacent to a new Primary School and shares its entrance and parking with the school.

Futures for Somerset provided Technical Advice to Sedgemoor District Council on the design, specification and construction of the building. In addition we provided input into the development agreement and liaised with the developer and their design team to ensure the Council gained the best quality outcome within the available budget.

The project cost was in the region of £550,000. The building was developed on a Greenfield site with shared access arrangements. Our input into the process helped to ensure that the Council was receiving a value for money solution that would offer a good quality, functional community facility for the longer term.
