Welcome guide
Hello and welcome to Danielle Alexander photography! Thank you so much for considering me for your portrait session. I aim to create beautiful, emotive imagery that you and your family will cherish forever and provide quality heirloom products to last generations.
What to expect
Before your session we will chat about things like type of session, how many people, location and any other questions you may have. Sessions typically take about an hour. During the session I will be posing and guiding you through it. We will chat, play with children and interact with each other. I will ask questions and probably say silly things throughout the session. This helps me to get genuine, candid emotion. Theses images will be the favorites! If you have little ones it can help to bring snacks, that won't color the mouth or be messy, loveys if they have them and make sure you use the restroom before we get started.
What to wear
This is an extremely important part of getting professional looking images. I recommend that you do not match, but coordinate. Wear neutral colors that compliment each other. No neon or clashing colors and not everyone wearing white. Only one person should wear prints unless they are matching. For instance, plaids look great on boys and men and floral prints look great on ladies and little girls, but you would not want to mix the two. I always recommend dresses for ladies and girls if they feel comfortable in them. They allow for movement in the images and help to not create any wrinkles or lines at waist lines and such. Shoes are important as well. Tennis shoes are not the best option unless they are converse chucks or that type that goes with the theme of the clothing. No heels if the session is in a grassy field area or if you will be holding small children during the session. If you need further inspiration let me know and I can send some examples!
Investment
Full sessions are $250 and include a 1 hour session, 20 digital images fully edited in a private online gallery. If you choose to have images delivered on a USB add $30. Galleries will be delivered in 2-3 weeks after session date.
Prints and products
Prints, albums, photo boxes, canvas and metal prints available. Products and packages starting at $200.
