Forest Friday April 29th

This week we investigated dandelion clocks.
  • We looked at how the seeds travel in the wind.
  • We blew the clocks and tried to catch the parachutes.
We experimented with sticky weed.

It would stick to our trousers and t-shirts but not to our raincoats. We decided it only sticks to rough surfaces.

We found bumblebees in the fruit trees and the grass
We learned about the importance of compost from reading the book 'George Saves the World by Lunchtime'.

We planned where to put our compost bin so it could be used by everyone. We spoke to Collen and Ysgawen to explain what they needed to do and why.

We made posters to show the other classes what they can compost.
