Perfectly Posh Reviews by wendy

Welcome to my Perfectly Posh reviews blog. Here is where you'll find reviews of Posh products I have tried.
Perfectly posh is a company that started in October 2011 and now has over 50,000 consultants across the country. The company produces products that are naturally-based, vegan and most of them are gluten-free.
I was introduced to the company back in April 2016. I requested a few samples after looking at the catalog found in the link below on Perfectly Posh Consultant Julie Anto's website.
My first samples were Cackle Spackle, Moisturize 911, Whole Lava Love, and Love the Dark. You'll find the reviews of those products and more since then below.
All the products are under $25, shipping is $5 no matter how much you order, and every day is buy 5 get one free.

Cackle Spackle

One of the most fun things about the company is the names they invent for their products. The idea of using this for Halloween and handing out samples to the adults sparked a lot of conversation!

This is so far my favorite face mask. I love how earthy it feels and smells. Makes me feel like I'm playing in the dirt and yet makes my skin so soft that I almost don't need a moisturizer afterwards.

Cackle Spackle is a charcoal based detoxifying face mask. It contains not only the charcoal but also volcanic ash and Kaolin Clay.

Kaolin clay

Kaolin Clay

A light, very fine clay. It has absorbing properties that help keep skin dry and smooth. It is suitable for people with sensitive skin.

Volcanic Ash

Cleanses, purifies and detoxifies the skin.

Fragrance -

Spearmint essential oil

Cackle Spackle smells earthy coupled with a spearmint scent and dries quickly. Recommended use is 2-5 times a week.

Gender Bender Chunk

I bought this because I am clearly addicted to anything with charcoal in it. This chunk is too much to hold in one hand. But, with a sharp kitchen knife, you can cut it into manageable pieces. Even cut it down into sample pieces if you want to share.

Gender Bender Chunk is a bath bar that is a detoxifying bar with charcoal. The smell is gender neutral so both women and men will enjoy using it daily.

Fragrance -

Woodsy Amber and soft citrus - Woodsy Amber is a little difficult to describe but I would say it has a little campfire scent, faint, but I think that's the "woodsy" part to me.

Moisturize 911

Moisturize 911 is a caffeinated face moisturizer with Vitamin C. Your face will feel fresher, moisturized and awake. Use it after cleansing or whenever you need a pick-me-up.

It's Da Bees Knees

It's Da Bees Knees is an exfoliating body scrub. Honey, Shea Butter and sea salt are the main ingredients. You can use this anywhere from 2 to 5 times a week as well.

Sea Salt

Sea salt is an excellent exfoliator. It works to remove coarse dead skin. Make sure you use a Posh Skindelicious Body Butter, find them at the link in the box below, or a moisturizer after exfoliating.

Whole Lava Love

Follow the link below to purchase Whole Lava Love

The is a facial in a jar. It exfoliates the dead skin on the face revealing softer and healthier skin. It consists of volcanic ash, charcoal powder (anyone surprised?) and sugar beads.

Whole Lava Love vs It's Da Bees Knees - Both exfoliate so why the difference?

The skin on the face is more sensitive, usually, than the rest of the body. So, while both are exfoliators, Whole Lava Love has sugar beads which are gentler on the face than the sea salt in It's Da Bees Knees.

Love The Dark

Follow the link below to purchase Love the Dark Black Sea Salt Body Scrub

Come to the Dark Side! This black sea salt, charcoal, honey and Shea Butter body scrub will leave you feeling clean and refreshed with a cool sea breeze scent.

Detoxifying Black Sea Salt

Again, we are talking sea salt, charcoal, honey and Shea Butter. Yes, there is a theme. I think one thing I like about the products is that the base ingredients are similar, but paired with different scents to appeal to different people. Not everyone likes flowery scents but not everyone likes neutral or earthly scents either.

Recommended use is 2-5 times a week. Certain factors will affect how often you might use it like how dry or damaged your skin is presently, how much you are outside, etc. I find for me, twice a week is sufficient.

Local Flair Lip Balm

This lip balm tastes just like a watermelon, and oh how I love watermelon!

It does not have a greasy feel, instead it has a moisturizing feel thanks to the Shea butter. It also has beeswax that helps keep moisture from escaping.
