What is an insect? An insect in an animal which has six legs. Insects are able to fly most insects have wings so they can fly. Insects use there wiggly fingers so they can smell things. insects don't have any noses so thats why they use there wiggly fingers.

insects live mostly on land not in water but some insects are able to walk on water such as gerridae (water striders), they are able to walk on the surface of water.there are many insects such as spider,cockroaches,crickets,and many other ones. Insects don't have back bones so they are considered as a invertebrate animal .Insect bodies have three parts, the thorax, abdomen and head.The number of insect species is believed to be between six and ten million.the most common insect is a bettle there is believed to be around 500,000 species of a beetle around the entire world.Around half are plant-eaters, feeding on leaves. Unlike a human, every insects lays an egg .
