TEAM SMAC ATTACK!
Although it was a while back, not many have forgotten the wonderful day of competition that was the final installment of our Pink and Black Meet Series. The meet took place on 11/19, and was full of fun, speed, guts, and glory. With over 70 SMAC athletes competing that morning, the 3rd Pink and Black meet was the largest SMAC meet in Team History. Never before has SMAC been to a meet, home or away, with 70+ athletes. It's something to be proud of and take pride in. We showed up, represented, and SWAM FAST! SMAC's Unprecedinted Team Success
Never before has SMAC had such an incredible start to a season. We've dropped an INSANE amount of time. 2,550 seconds! It's the result of hard work at practice, dedication to the craft, and a wonderful, supportive swimming community. In the graph below, our team is represented by the bar graph, and the state average rates of improvement are represented by the line graph. SMAC is WELL ahead of the average rates of improvement for the state. It's an awesome sight. Not only are we ahead of the state in terms of average rates of improvement, we're currently well above the national average. If we continue our current trajectory, we could finish the season as one of the most improved teams in the country. There are almost 3000 year round swim clubs in USA Swimming, some with over 3000 members. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!
Our team is crushing it in the pool on a daily basis, and the work has shown in the form of 2,550 dropped seconds. WE'RE NOT DONE YET. There are more best times to earn, cuts to achieve, and many, many more seconds still to be dropped.

SO, WHO WON??!!
The Pink and Black Meet Series has accounted for 1,300.66 seconds of our teams Total Time Dropped for the season.
Dropping 329.14 seconds in our first meet, the Pink team started the meet series with a commanding 133.93 seconds lead. With a come from behind, lights out performance, the black team retook the lead in the second meet. The score was Black team 512.97 to the Pink Teams 484.64 heading into the final Pink vs. Black Team showdown. The score was tight, emotions were high, and the smell of victory was in the air. At our final meet, the Pink team had a wonderful performance, dropping 153.37 seconds. However, it was not enough to overcome the Black Team's dominating 179.68 seconds dropped.
