Angen - Aelod oedolin Criw Cymraeg! Adult Criw Cymraeg Member wanted!

Are you interested in all things Cymraeg? Do you want to help people understand what it means to be Welsh, living in Wales and maybe to help others with their Welshness? If so, you’re just the person we’re looking for to join the Criw Cymraeg at Ysgol Cae’r Nant!

You could be:

Staff members - for example staff will be able to extend their own learning.

Parents or Carers - for example to support children and staff with making sure we use as much Welsh as possible in school and maybe learn some Welsh yourselves.

A Governor - for example being able to see what the Criw Cymraeg do and help make changes in our school.

A member of our local community - for example being able to make links with us in school and help spread the word about how Welsh we are in Ysgol Cae’r Nant.

You will need to help us ensure the school’s vision for Welsh has a high focus.

The things we do are : Ensure that all classes are using Welsh, ensure that the staff are speaking Welsh as well as using Welsh on the displays and in the corridors.

Jobs we do weekly : Award pupils and classes for speaking the most Welsh.

Organise fun days for St David’s day, Dydd Miwsig Cymru and Diwrnod Shwmae etc.

We discuss progress being made in the Language Charter - we’re working towards our Gwobr Efydd.

We will also do learning walks and run competitions to see which class can speak the most Welsh, but it is a secret and I’m sure that there will be much more that we will do in the future, like making working walls, organising Welsh workshops and other events.

The Criw Cymraeg lead the Welsh assemblies.

Top Tips:

Speak or learn lots of Welsh - Helpwch eraill i ddefnyddio Cymraeg. Think how you can help improve the use of Welsh at Ysgol Cae’r Nant.

Don’t be a sheep - be a leader, not a follower and Siarad Cymraeg!

To apply, please make a short video (no more than two minutes long) explaining what you would bring to the Criw Cymraeg and how you would help us in our work. Please email it to the Office for the attention of the Criw Cymraeg by Friday 17th February 2023.

Diolch am darllen - From the members of Criw Cymraeg!🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿
