We have a big week ahead. It's National Breakfast Week, our third grade students will be participating in IREAD-3 testing and we will be celebrating Mrs. Miller. It is Social Worker Week! Mrs. Miller does so much for our students and staff on a daily basis. We are very fortunate to have her!
National Breakfast Week begins March 6!
Yearbook Sales:

March 11- 26: Spring Break
April : ILEARN testing (third grade only)
May: MVP Breakfast (days and times TBD)
Last week I shared our current attendance rate and our goal of 97% of Weston students being present each month. Attendance is the primary factor of student success. Students must be present to receive the quality and standard-based instruction they need to be successful learners. #everydaymatters
Below is a visual with tips on how to create a successful morning. Habitual tardies also impact learning. If you are wanting up-to-date information in regards to the number of absences or tardies your student(s) has, please contact our front office (317-462-1492).
Weston Handbook:
We are excited to announce that we have begun our kindergarten registration for the 2023-2024 school year at Greenfield-Central Community School Corporation. You can register your student at this link. We understand the importance of developing young learners, and our teachers cannot wait to meet the Cougar Class of 2036! Please click here for a peek inside the opportunities awaiting your kindergartener at G-C.
Medication Drop-Off ~
- Students are not allowed to self-carry medication. All medication must be administered through the clinic. Please contact Mrs. Potter, School Health Assistant, if you have any questions.
- Medication must be accompanied by the appropriate form, and the form must be complete and accurate for the medication to be accepted. Medication forms can be found in the link below.
Open PTO Officer Positions for 2023-2024:
The PTO is looking for people to fill an open officer position for the next school year. Being an officer allows you to have the best opportunity at volunteering with the PTO! If you are interested and would like to learn more, please email the current president, Katie Muegge, at ptowestonelementary@gmail.com . We will have nominations during our April 5th meeting and voting during our May 3rd meeting. Thank you!
Upcoming PTO Meetings:
School Lunch & Breakfast Fees ~ The school meals program is funded by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, school corporations across the country have been operating with the use of a federal waiver that allowed them to feed every child for free through the end of this school year. The use of this waiver will not be available this school year and corporations will return to the traditional eligibility requirements for free, reduced and paid meals. This means that for School Year 2022-2023, our school corporation will be charging students for breakfasts and lunches. Free & Reduced Application for Families
EZ School Pay ~ Lunch Accounts - Greenfield-Central is once again using www.ezschoolpay.com to put lunch money in your child’s lunch account (there is a small fee and you will need your child’s student number found on Powerschool). Lunch money may also be submitted by check when you come to registration. Please be sure to keep your child’s lunch account in good standing. Additionally, our cafeteria computer system does not have the capabilities to put a “block” on student lunch accounts for purchasing extra lunch items. You will want to make sure your child is on the same page as you when it comes to spending lunch account money. FYI, you can also pay textbook rental fees and iPad insurance on ezschoolpay as well! https://www.ezschoolpay.com/Login.aspx
YMCA ~ We do offer YMCA after school care. Weston students will be bussed after school to Harris Elementary. Please visit the link below to register your student and read more information regarding the program.
