Entrepreneurship

In the past two weeks entrepreneurship students worked on some financial accounting & reporting review. They also continued working on Skills USA and their MSJC articulation testing.

Carpentry

Construction is busy practicing for the CIE Foundation Design Build Competition March 22-23rd. The students are taking instruction from the teachers at Carpenters local 951 at the apprenticeship in Riverside on Saturday's.

Congratulations to the Tahquitz Carpentry team for winning first place in the CIE Foundation Design Build Competition March. Good job!

Digital Media

Students in Digital Media have been progressing with their leadership and career-readiness curriculum via SkillsUSA. This curriculum generates high levels of student engagement and is built on evidence based outcomes. Many students have not only completed the modules, but also passed the assessments to achieve certifications.

7 of our Digital Media Students were also recognized in the Riverside County Office of Education Fine Art Spectacular. 5 were selected as finalist, and 2 were awarded.

Riverside County Office of Education Fine Arts Spectacular Virtual Exhibition

Sports Medicine

Level 2 is currently focusing on career development. Working on their resume and cover letter. As well as finding a professional resource for a letter of recommendation. After that they will focus on injuries in the head more specifically focusing on concussions.

Level 1 is on their way to completing the respiratory system and everything that comes with it. Learning the effectiveness of proper breathing. Following this lesson they will focus a bit more on hands-on skills like first-aid.

Art Palazzo

There was a variety of many people that came together to display a piece of Hemet's community and culture. Such as pottery, art, and various other forms of creative media. People were kind enough to donate food to the folks that came to the Art Palazzo. The event turned out great and it was definitely one for the books.

Recognizing Cte students

Erik Zavala

Erik is a senior in the construction class this year. He is also the moderator for the construction instagram page @tahquitzcarpentry. All of the success for the page this year is due to Erik's hard work and dedication to the page and class.

Elliette Lannon

Elliette is a Digital Film II student, and has been an instrumental part of TitanTV this year. Elliette created the podcast Tahquitz Sound Bar, where she interviews staff members at Tahquitz High School and they share their musical taste. Elliette has efforts on this project have been immense, as she functions as the producer, director, and host.

Alexandria Fullylove

Alex has taken initiative to show her leadership with assisting students during the taping practicum. Sharing her prior experiences and helping those around her succeed to the best of their abilities.

Ayden Wilcox

Ayden is a great student, always friendly, polite, respectful and attentive. He participates in class, answers when called upon, is a hard worker and is always positive.
