Prosper Band News September 5, 2022

Please view all rehearsal times and locations on the Prosper Band Calendar accessed below. There were a few location and time changes to best utilize rehearsal times for all sections.

We hope everyone is everyone is enjoying their well deserved 3-day weekend! Even with the adverse weather we have been dealing with this past week, all that have been present have had outstanding rehearsals. Bravo!

We want to address absence requests as we begin to perform the completion show at football games, events and competitions. Due to the the design and scope of the 2022 marching show, it is important that all performing members attend rehearsals and ALL performances as listed on the band calendar. The integration of the number props and performers is an integral part of the show and becomes a bit of a puzzle when students are not present. Ultimately, it becomes a safety issue on the field as multiple people are moving the props throughout the performance. When someone is not present and a chair is not moved to the correct location, it could spell disaster for students on the field.

Please make every attempt to be at all rehearsals and performances. We understand that sickness and/or emergencies occur and we do our best to accommodate on a case-by-case basis; however, we are to the point in the season where we will need to change performing spots for students that cannot fulfill their performance obligations.

We absolutely understand the sacrifice of all our students, staff and families give for this tremendous project. As we approach the halfway point of the season (yep.... we are almost halfway through!!!!), we want every opportunity to showcase the incredible progress of our students as we prepare for competitions in October and November and down the road of being UNDENIABLE.... GO EAGLES!!!!

Absence Requests

Please read the Prosper Band Absence Policy by clicking the button below before submitting a request.

Prosper Mighty Eagle Band members are expected to be at all rehearsals, events and performances as listed on the Prosper Band Google Calendar. We understand that unavoidable conflicts may sometimes arise, but it is important that all students are present as we cannot teach an empty spot or chair. It is the student's responsibility to obtain all material that was missed and makeup the time appropriately. If you have attempted all aspects of working around this conflict, but cannot come up with a solution, please fill out the following absence request form ASAP.
