The 2022 season ended with the Cardinals securing their first CCIW championship in program history with an 11-10 win over Transylvania University. This led to the group's first trip to the NCAA Division III Men's Lacrosse tournament. The team features five All-CCIW honors on the roster, as well as three Intercollegiate Men's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IMLCA) All-Region selections. As a group, the team was one of 63 Division III schools to earn a United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) All-Academic Team Award. North Central is ranked #5 by the NCAA in Region V.

The 2021-2022 roster included players from all over Illinois as well as Minnesota, Indiana, Connecticut, Michigan, Wisconsin, Texas, New York, Arizona, Utah, and California.
Program History
Since becoming a program in 2016, the team has seen multiple players earn accolades, including All-CCIW selections, CCIW Player of the Week awards, Coach of the Year and Academic All-CCIW selections. The team earned 10 victories in its first season ever as a program. With a conference championship secured alongside multiple team accolades, the program continues to build on their foundation to be recognized as a premier collegiate lacrosse program in the Midwest.
Academics
