How did you get involved in your current career path?

I am a lifelong resident of Yuba County, which is where my parents owned their own business for 26 years. I would help them in the office and quickly learned that great office staff and skills are essential to helping a business run smoothly. After that and before joining Yuba Water, I worked for Yuba County in an administrative position.

What does your average day look like? Or what are some of your essential duties?

I have always enjoyed administrative duties because each day brings new challenges and no two days are the same. However, one of my main daily responsibilities at the agency is to review and process task and purchase orders, which I send out to our consultants and vendors for services, materials, equipment and supplies that are needed for our everyday operations.

What do you enjoy most about working for Yuba Water Agency?

I absolutely love working for an agency that is actively taking a role in making Yuba County a better place to live and raise a family. It really gives me a sense of pride to work for an agency like Yuba Water because of everything its doing for the community. The employees that I work with at Yuba Water are amazing people that I learn so much from, too.

Tell us something about yourself that most of us don’t know.

I have a 2001 Harley Davidson Heritage Softail trike that I rode all the way to South Dakota for the 75th anniversary of the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. I rode through eight states in seven days and saw a bunch of beautiful sites along the way. I also enjoy participating in motorcycle charity runs around the Yuba-Sutter area, including my favorite, Yuba-Sutter’s Original Toy Run.

What do you like to do in your free time?

In my free time, I enjoy watching my daughter play the many different sports that she's involved in. When we aren't attending different sporting events, I love sneaking off to the beach for a weekend or catching a live concert.
