training opportunities - NVQ

DID YOU KNOW? That we offer you the opportunity to complete an NVQ whilst you are working for Alert Health 24? It doesn’t cost you anything just your time and commitment to completing the course. You will gain a recognised qualification whilst you earn and you won’t have to sit any exams.

We caught up with Ruta, one of our lovely members of staff who is currently completing her NVQ Level 2 in Adult Care.

When did you start doing the NVQ course? I started my course in January 2023.

How is the NVQ course going? It is going well. Some months were maybe a bit more challenging to keep up with a plan due to personal circumstances, but other than that it's great.

Are you enjoying it? I am enjoying it! Best teachers, flexible time, no need to travel anywhere, interesting material-what's not to like?!

What is the process like? I have a teacher who I see online once a month. We discuss the topic, discuss my homework. Get new homework. Do online tests and courses on my spare time. And recently I was given another tutor who once a week teaches me Maths and English functional skills for my GCSE.

Why did you choose to sign up for the course? It's free, remote, flexible around my schedule, helps me to improve my knowledge and skills, which then can be directly used in my work. I get the best material from the best tutors while not even going out of the house. There’s never too much to know, especially about care work.

If you would like to find out more about studying for an NVQ whilst working for Alert Health 24 please contact your Local Branch, our team will be more than happy answer any questions you may have.

Pride Celebrations

June is Pride month - a month dedicated to celebrating LGBTQ+ communities, not just in the UK but all over the world. Last Tuesday 27th June, our office staff came together and showed their support for the LGBTQ+ community by wearing brightly coloured clothing, glitter and face paints. At Alert Health 24, we embrace diversity and inclusivity in all aspects of our work. Pride Month serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of acceptance, respect, and equal rights for all individuals, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity. Celebrating diversity and promoting equality for all is really important to us.

We look forward to finding out what July has in store, have a lovely month from the Alert Health 24 team.
