Rituals are something I really have been taking more serious recently. Rituals are something I really have been taking more serious recently. Everyday I try to follow a guideline I lay out at the end of the week in my calendar. Not to make myself suffer or because I’m lazy but to simply keep me on track. A lot of people talk about “Morning Rituals“, “Sunday Night Rituals”, or ”Prepare for the week Rituals” and they work. They’re totally useful and I use them to really manage myself on creating a sense of urgency in everything I do. It’s a fantastic way to improve your productivity.

Freelancing has become more and more the norm in the United States with nearly one third of the entire workforce working as freelancers through jobs like Uber, Lyft, Fiverr, and Upwork. These freelance jobs are slowly taking over the modern workers preferred working style for their flexibility and total control over their own situations. By simply owning a car or even being connected to the Internet people are racking in thousands of dollars by doing small tasks for other people. From writing articles, to giving them a ride to work these jobs are becoming more an more affluent in todays society.

I had an interesting conversation with Rodney Gainous Jr the other night. We talked about an entire range of different topics that include business, life, philosophy, and even love. He then asked me a very crucial question I wasn’t exactly prepared to answer. It’s a difficult one, one that is something even large corporations fuss and develop at for months. The question was one that usually brings fear to you and me alike; but today I felt brave. The question was, where do I want to be in 5 years.
