A Tournament By the Fraternal Order of Police With the Proceeds Going For Children and Christmas
A "Holiday Hold'em" game of Poker will be organized by the Fraternal Order of Police of the Tri-Town Lodge # 30 at the Outlaw BBQ restaurant on Route 1, in Foxboro, Ma. The proceeds and collections from this Texas Hold'em Poker Tournament will go to the Greater Attleboro Area Council for Children's annual Christmas.
Tickets for the tournament are at $65 each and seats are limited on a first come basis. Every player at the final table will be receiving prizes.
Largest Legal Poker Prize in Canada Won by a Man From Salt Spring Island
A man from Salt Spring Island has won the largest legal prize in Canada, at the B.C. Poker Championship in Richmond, B.C. James Hawkins took the grand prize of $382,000.
He said he had been playing poker for a couple of years and this was only his second tournament. The championship consisted of three Texas Hold'em events over a four-day period.
