WHAT'S NEW IN PRODUCT CONTENT CLOUD (PCc)
SUPPLIER PORTAL 5.6.1 RELEASE NOTES
Multi-value & Conditional attributes WITH Complex values
The Supplier Portal now has the ability to support multi-value and conditional attributes and complex values for Core Product or Recipient attributes. The new attribute and value types can be used in combination, in cases such as Restrictions, or independently.
CONDITIONAL ATTRIBUTES
Conditional attributes are attributes that are displayed dependent on the answer to a different linked or trigger attribute. For example, answering ‘Yes’ to ‘Are there shipping restrictions?’ would prompt the system to display additional attributes. Previously, all attributes would be visible, but optional, or only appear in a conditional workflow or job step.
COMPLEX VALUES
In some cases, complex values are required to provide the appropriate level of information to a recipient about products. Complex values functionality allows users to select multiple values in related attributes to create a set of information for the parent attribute.
ENHANCEMENTS
Single Item Edit page – Create Copy When users click the “Create Copy” button found on the Single Item Edit page, a copy of the current product data is carried over into a new product in the Single Item Edit page, but no private attributes are copied over. This way, users can use all of the other attributes from the original product and can update private data and identifiers like “Mfg Part #” and “SKU #”.
Export only required attributes - When exporting a smart spreadsheet, users now have the ability to export only those attributes which are required.
Smart Spreadsheets - The Reference tab of Smart Spreadsheets is now tab #2, so that users can easily access it. When a user navigates to the Reference tab, they can now quickly navigate to the tab they want to work on by clicking that tab’s section title.
Display identifier other than GTIN on Single Item Edit page Users can now select which identifier they want to be displayed at the top of the Single Item Edit page for a product by selecting from the list of radio buttons in the “Display Identifier for Edit” section of the Supplier Preferences page.
Commerce and Class base views in Smart Spreadsheets Since Smart Spreadsheet tabs are mostly view based, there is now a Commerce base view and a Class base view. For example, now if only GDSN attribute sets are requested to export in the Smart Spreadsheet then non-GDSN related attributes will not be displayed.
Offline Smart Spreadsheet exports When users export a Smart Spreadsheet offline, there will no longer be a size based queuing in the system; for Smart Spreadsheets exported offline that have more than 200 items, the export will be processed on-demand.
Click to expand filters Previously users had to hover their mouse over filters on the Products page and Requests page in order to expand them, and then the filters would collapse unexpectedly. Now filters on these pages only expand when clicked and only collapse when clicked.

EDGENET SUPPORT TIPS
WORK SMARTER WITH Edgenet Smart SpreadsheetS
At Edgenet, we’ve designed our spreadsheets to be helpful and concise to assist our customers in the data entry process. Here are some of the most common mistakes to avoid while uploading smart spreadsheets:
1. CLOSE BEFORE UPLOADING
Your spreadsheet must be closed before you can upload into PCc, or you will receive an error message. Simply close out the smart spreadsheet, and then re-upload.
2. MAKE COPY AND PASTE SPECIAL
While it may be tempting to copy and paste your previous product data from other spreadsheets or documents, it often causes formatting issues if not done carefully. Generally, it is best practice to copy/paste "special" as you select and paste data into cells. (Time Saving Shortcut: Ctrl+Alt+V)
3. WATCH FOR THE DROP DOWN
Much like the previous rule, typing into a field that has a drop-down answer will create a formatting issue, so it’s important to notice whether your answer cell is a blank cell for text, or is filled in by a drop-down menu.
I hope you find these tips helpful, and as always, don’t hesitate to reach out to our excellent support team for any of your spreadsheet woes! - Casey / Edgenet Support
