START

LVCA is looking forward to our START, or SummerTime ART program this summer 2022. This opportunity will be funded through The Foundation for Enhancing Communities, "Arts for All" grant. LVCA will be holding a Kids Art Club and a Mosaic Mural Camp. Mosaic Mural Art Camp begins with a week of in-studio time to learn the skill and then goes on location for a week to install the mosaic mural. Young people learn how to prepare and plan, work with mosaic tiles, and coordinate with others to produce an overall design.

Art Club 2022, is a summer season, youth-focused, art experience in a setting that is relaxed and collaborative. It is designed to help students connect and communicate with each other through learning new art skills. More details and information will be coming out soon. If you have a location or idea for a mosaic mural please send an email to lebanonartscouncil@gmail.com.

A MUSICAL CELTIC SUPPER

Get the month of March off to a great start with an Irish Supper, featuring home baked bread, scones and cakes while you listen to tunes and songs from the Emerald Isle from Seamus Carmichael and his fellow musicians. March 5, 2022 at 5:00 pm to 8 pm. Donations appreciated.

Collage Lounge

March 18, 2022 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm

Join us for an evening of collage, creativity, and reconnection. Collage is a technique of art creation, primarily used in the visual arts, but in music too, by which art results from an assemblage of different forms, thus creating a new whole. (wikipedia)

LVCA will provide all the supplies, but feel free to bring your own magazines, scissors, glue, markers, and images. BYOB

The session is $12 for non-members and $6 for members. Payment accepted at event. Or go to our square site space to pay online.

Thank You!

Our organization wouldn't exist without the support of the Lebanon community and area charitable organizations. Thank you for the donations, memberships, grant funding, and gifts.

Pennsylvania Council on the Arts

LVCA is supported, in part, by the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, a state agency, through the Pennsylvania Partners in the Arts (PPA), its regional arts funding Partnership. State government funding comes through an annual appropriation by Pennsylvania’s General Assembly and from the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency. PPA is administered in this region by The Foundation for Enhancing Communities (TFEC).

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

LVCA is starting to expand our programs and activities. We're looking for volunteers and people interested in joining the board. Volunteers could help out by being available at events, teaching a class, hosting on First Friday's, organizing the office space, or helping with summer camp. Serving on LVCA's board is a unique opportunity to get involved with a dynamic and very hands-on community organization. The board members work together to oversee the daily business operations, develop and support new events and programs, and are available for First Friday events and gallery open hours. If you're interested or have questions, please send an email to lebanonartscouncil@gmail.com

Our Strength is Our People: The Humanist Photographs of Lewis Hine

Feb. 4–April 6

Photographer Lewis Wickes Hine (American, 1874–1940) brought the sensibilities of a sociologist to his documentary photography. This exhibition, consisting entirely of rare vintage prints, covers the three overarching themes of Hine’s three-decade career: the immigrant experience, child labor, and the American worker, culminating in his magnificent studies of the construction of the Empire State Building.

Art of Recycle has been serving Ephrata for ten years and three years in Hanover City. We have provided over half a million dollars in teaching supplies to teachers and non-profits in 2021. Thousand of disadvantaged children, adults and seniors have benefited from our programs in 2021.
