THE 2016 ANNUAL MEETING was held on : WEDNESDAY, MARCH 16, 2016; We would like to express our appreciation to everyone who attended this years Annual Meeting where our new Association Manger, Sherrie G. was introduced, as well as many new members nominated and voted in to serve as Hakalau Plantation Village Associations Board of Directors.
PROPERTY MAINTENANCE REMINDER : Please note the following from association’s Covenants, Conditions & Restrictions (CC&R’s): Page 9, Section 2.0, Landscape and Architectural Design Standards: All grassed areas will be maintained at a maximum height of 5” before, during and after completion of the home. Page 11, Section 2.1.5 Site work, g.: All exposed cut, fill and graded areas shall be landscaped and/or maintained in an agricultural use. In all such areas, measures shall be taken to mitigate the establishment of noxious weeds.
HPV AWARENESS ALERT : An application has been filed with the County of Hawaii requesting a zoning change and for a Special Management Area Use Permit for an individual subdivision property at Hakalau Point. This has caused various concerns among some area residents that have been monitoring this closely.
NUISANCE ALERT : The ongoing issues of our islands' feral pigs has long been a nuisance for our subdivision neighborhood. Some of Hakalau Plantation Village residents have used traps to try and control the pig population. You can help by removing the habitat that attracts pigs, by picking up dropped fruit from trees, maintaining excess vegetation and not leaving pet's food outdoors.
WELCOME TO THE NEIGHBORHOOD! : The Hakalau Plantation Village Assocation would like to welcome new homeowners of the Association subdivision, Phillip and Carol Wozniak and Rick and Faith Jones. We hope you find the peace, comfort and joy of this neighborhood that we enjoy here!
