MY GOAL S :

  1. strengthening of digital and teaching skills for project-based teaching in the digital age.
  2. enhancement of English language skills
  3. immerse myself and increase knowledge of Irish history and culture

ATC language school in Dublin is really good situated in the center of Dublin, 50 meters from Grafton Street.

A community of very kind helpful people

I have attended a very interesting and engaging teacher training course on "Project Based Learning in the digital age".. During our lessons we have experienced blended lessons, exactly what we want to porpose to our students: a mixed of input phases ( rich of food for thought) and working in team based on cooperative learning, PBL techniques, digital tools as padlet, google sites, vocaroo, screencast o matic, canva.

My group worked on the framework of a project called " Influencers : an influence??? "

I discover new insights on innovative teaching methodologies and I share my lived experience with other teachers. I had several chances to deal with other colleagues.

I met a great teacher, Dave, really interested in innvoative teaching methods, passionate about students and their future.

my key words;

PASSION

DISCOVERY

SHARING

POSSIBLE IMPACTS ON TEACHING IN MY SCHOOL (LICEO ARTISTICO CHIERICI IN REGGIO EMILIA) :

  1. I've close a friendship with one of my classmates Alejandro Meyniel and his wife Florence. He is the header of Centro Educativo Fasta Colegio Madre Sacramento in Valencia. On September 2022 he will come to Italy to design an e-twinng project together.
  2. I discovered that Transition Year in Ireland is an optional one-year school programme that can be taken in the year between the Junior Cycle of the secondary (post-primary) curriculum and the Senior Cycle. For the most part the year is designed around PBL , giving students 21st century skills, incorporating a work experience program. For design of our PBL session we could get new ideas from the National Curriculum Online from the Irish Department of Education . There is also a link on that page to some sample Transition Units. It can be accessed also here.
  3. Twice during PBL session students present and share their work with a panel of experts, trained by professionals from academia and industry across Ireland. The experts will give very valuable and effective feedback to the teams so they can further develop their projects. Students will then review this feedback, together with feedback from their teachers and insights gained from self- evaluation activities to refine their proposed ideas. Teachers and experts could enrich each other by designing together rubrics for assestment and audience feedback forms. Why not do the same in our school?
  4. With my student I would work more on RESEARCH SKILLS to develop critical thinking skill . I'll work trought some steps: pre-assestment of research skills , what do students need to know, six steps to teaching research.
  5. With my student I would work more on critical thinking and analysing skills trought a sequence of interactive multiple-choice or drag-to-target questions called DRIVING QUESTION AND NEED TO KNOW QUESTION

Finally I would thank so much Paola Panciroli who made this experience possible, my fellow adventurers Lucilla and Giada, my teacher Dave and all my classmates.
