lifestyle & documentary portraiture- Maternity, Families & Couples Information & Pricing

"Everyone has a story, and every story matters."

These sessions are for families, couples & maternity! Capturing love and connections while adventuring in the beauty of the great outdoors of Alaska brings my heart so much joy! On the contrary, in-home sessions are also such a nice way to slow down the pace and cozy up in the comfort of your own space.

This gorgeous extended family was photographed at Eklutna Lake in between Anchorage and Palmer

It's wholeheartedly about the moments and the connections for me when I photograph my families.

Locations and Seasons

It all starts with location! Location can help you to visualize what you are looking for in your images. Are you wanting rugged, dreamy, adventurous, romantic... you get the picture! I usually say once you figure out location, everything else kind of just falls into place! Seasons also play a huge part in location, what looks one way in the fall can look completely different a few weeks later...seasons happen FAST in Alaska. So if you are on fence, I would book your session based on the season and time of the year and then we can figure out details after that, that way you aren't forced to take pictures during a time of year that wasn't what you were envisioning.

I have compiled a list of my favorite Anchorage locations to photograph at, please feel free to ask me any questions about any location. I have lived in Anchorage for almost 20 years and am pretty knowledgeable about the area. Please note that my sessions take place elusively in the Anchorage area, a travel fee will be added onto the session fee if you wish to travel either up to 70 miles north or south of Anchorage (Hather's Pass to Turnagain Pass).

Here are my favorite locations in Anchorage to photograph at:
  • Flattop/Glen Alps
  • Carrs Gottstein Park
  • John Park
  • Beluga Point
  • McHugh Creek
  • Campbell Airstrip Trailhead
  • Pt. Waranzoff Beach
  • Kincaid Sand Dunes
