Look Up

It was a bright and cloudy early December day. The billowing midwestern cumulus clouds are not common in the drought years of deserty Southern California.

Some say outside photography under the blue sky is not correct. Better than the red yellow smoke from the wildfire months, which are all of them in the year now.

The rains have come lightly of recent to the parched land. Somehow, grass seeds from the dark gray summer husks manage some green to contrast the white, black & blue sky.

Two screechy Harriers from nearby Point Mugu Naval Base passed over, then three rumbling prop planes in formation came, peeled over, and ducked down the hills to roost in Camarillo. Probably an acrobatic team of Old Russian Yaks.

Boney Mountain
This photo of Boney Mountain on the walk under the clouds isn't my picture. Not to say I didn't take it, but it isn't my art, how my eyes and brain see the world. It is "in the style of" Ansel Adams, being over dramatic B&W with everything fussy, technical, and stiff. For others, it will be "their art." More power to them, show us what and how you see...
It was an afternoon for bikers.
At the gate
Electric
Over the hill
On the trail
Airplanes were enjoying the sky too...
Harriers
The YAK team from Camarillo
Zooming over
Turning in
But it was the time for sky and clouds...
With a bike rider too
Some green
Left from dry summer
Towards the ocean
Fenced
Just that cloud
Looks cold and dark
My favorite was simple and peaceful...
Peaceful
Such was the walk in the sun and shade with the Olympus and a 24-80mm lens.
I did miss the coyotes, though...
